Administration:
Pacific Academy is seeking a .5 Head of Student Support & Well-being and .5 Curriculum Coordinator to commence August 15, 2025. As an integral member of the Team, the successful candidate will coordinate student support services across the school.
As Curriculum Coordinator the successful team member will play a key role in developing, implementing, and refining the curriculum across all grade levels (K-12).
The Head of Student Support & Well-being will lead the development, implementation and evaluation of a comprehensive, school-wide inclusive education programme including learning support and counselling services.
The successful candidate must:

Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Program Development
- Build collaborative relationships with students, staff, parents, and support agencies.
- Lead the planning and delivery of student support services from Junior Kindergarten to High School.
- Ensure students’ personal and learning needs are met through appropriate interventions and referrals.
- Oversee student support policies and initiatives, ensuring alignment with best practices.

Professional Development
- Organize and facilitate professional development sessions for teachers on curriculum design, instructional strategies, and effective use of our Teaching and Learning Platforms.
- Provide ongoing support and coaching to teachers in implementing curriculum and integrating Toddle into their teaching practices.
- Identify and coordinate professional development for student support staff.
- Lead onboarding and supervision of the student support team.
Student Learning
- Oversee the Student Support and Well-being budget.
- Manage student support data, track service effectiveness, and ensure compliance with Ministry of Education and Child Care guidelines.
- Analyze data from assessments to inform curriculum adjustments and instructional practices.
- Support teachers in using assessment data to differentiate instruction and improve student outcomes.
- Review Inclusive Education funding designations for students included on the MECC 1701 report.
Safeguarding & Student Access
- Collaborate with staff on serious academic and behavioural concerns, recommending appropriate actions.
- Collaborate with Admissions on evaluating prospective students requiring support services.
- Support the development of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Student Support Plans.
- Ensure students receive necessary accommodations and access arrangements.
- Ensure proper documentation and confidentiality of student concerns and support plans
Accreditations & Policy Compliance
- Ensure school compliance with BC Ministry of Education standards.
- Evaluate and improve student support programs based on benchmarks and best practices.

The House Manager works with clients to ensure the success of the events on the campus of Pacific Academy. This position is part-time and based on events, mostly evenings and weekends.
Responsibilities may include:
- Coordinate events from start to finish and oversee event details
- Direct clients to equipment for event set-up
- Liaise with clients, staff, technicians, janitors, and concession staff
- Orientate clients and volunteers (ushers, parking attendants, ticket takers, and greeters) with building procedures, policies, and housekeeping rules and ensure that safety procedures and protocols are followed for the building and patrons

Job Description:

Education Assistants:
Pacific Academy is seeking an enthusiastic, caring, and competent individual to join our Before and After School Care (BASC) team. The BASC Worker will provide a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for students outside regular school hours. We are committed to developing a high-quality program with a creative, friendly team that works collaboratively to support our students. This position is open until filled.
Duties:
- Supervise and engage with students during before and after school care hours.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities.
- Lead and direct group activities, using appropriate guiding and caring techniques for school-aged children.
- Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and students to build positive relationships and ensure clear understanding.
- Ensure the safety, well-being, and appropriate behaviour of all students in the program.

Facilities and Support:
Pacific Academy is requesting applications from qualified individuals for the position of AV and Lighting Technician This position is part-time and intermittent based on events, mostly evenings and weekends. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the operation and setup of all lighting, video and sound equipment for a variety of events held in our auditorium or chapel.
Responsibilities:
- Event Preparation:
o Collaborate with our House manager, event organizers and performers to understand their technical needs.
o Set up and operate lighting, video and sound equipment according to event requirements, including microphones, speakers, mixing consoles, lighting fixtures, and related equipment.
o Conduct pre-event checks to ensure all equipment is functioning correctly. - Event Operation:
o Operate lighting and sound consoles during performances and events, ensuring smooth transitions and high-quality audio and visual presentation.
o Assist with other technical tasks as needed - Safety:
o Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures related to the operation of lighting and sound equipment.
o Ensure a safe working environment for staff, performers, and audience members.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an AV, Light and Sound Technician, preferably in a similar style venue.
- Proficient in operating lighting and sound consoles.
- Familiarity with various types of AV, lighting and audio equipment.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
